Most check-in tools ask you to upload who works for you to their cloud. GateProof has no ticketing backend to upload to. The list lives on the organizer's devices and — only if you turn it on for an event — in your own iCloud account.
Import the list you already have
Export it from HR, a spreadsheet or a registration form and import it as CSV, TSV, Excel or plain text. Columns like name, email, company, ticket type, seat and zone are detected automatically, and nothing is created until you've reviewed the summary.
Several doors, one live count
Put reception, the main hall and the side entrance on the same team, over the venue Wi-Fi or a direct device-to-device link. Redemptions sync across doors, and a Mac at the desk can watch check-ins live (the Mac doesn't scan).
Predictable cost, no percentage
Internal events rarely sell tickets, so percentage fees make no sense. You pay one prepaid credit per pass, bought through the App Store — no contract, no per-user licence, no invoice from a ticketing platform.
How it works
- Create the event and choose the team that will work the doors.
- Import your attendee list — each row becomes a signed pass.
- Share passes through the iOS share sheet, or export a distribution pack with a mail-merge file for your own email tool.
- Activate the event and share it with the scanning devices.
- Scan at the door: VALID, ALREADY USED or INVALID in under a second, with or without internet.
Questions organizers ask
Does GateProof see our attendee data?
No. GateProof has no ticketing backend. Events, passes and scans stay on your devices; optional iCloud sync uses your own iCloud account, never ours.
Do employees need to install an app?
No. A pass is just a QR code in a PDF or image. Only the team at the door uses GateProof, on iPhone or iPad.
What if the venue Wi-Fi is locked down?
Scanning never needs internet. To sync several doors, devices can use Direct mode, a device-to-device link that doesn't need a shared network.
Can I export who attended?
Yes. When you archive an event, GateProof keeps a snapshot of the event and its tickets that you can export as CSV for your records.
